An upright growing maple with dissected foliage. This is the only cultivar in the dissectum group that doesn't weep or cascade. Foliage emerges bright grass green and remains fresh looking all season even in full sun locations. Red edges appear as fall nears and soon the whole tree is brilliant yellow with crimson overtones. Spectacular for fall color effects. Fast-growing tree with a very upright spreading habit. Will make a large specimen with time. Very sun and heat resistant despite the delicate looking leaves.

The name Sieryu means "blue-green dragon" in Japanese.
